Reflect on strength of presentation and weaknesses

Guiding Question: How is lighting used in Chinatown to influence the audience's view of the scene and why is it displayed in such a way? How is this light reminiscent of film noir style?

I believe my group done a good job on the quality of research question and definition of most characteristic. We answered the research question and tied it back in with the style of film noir. Our examples are decent enough that we get to talk about the different aspects that ties back in with film noir. Some examples deals with only the key terms and giving an example of how it would look like. We could've add some more key terms since some of the examples could be explained further than what we told.

Reflect on improving or clarification

The design of the powerpoint was a fitting match our presentation. The words were clear to see and the format was easy to understand. On the left side which is a smaller margin, had the key terms that the examples had shown. On the right side, it gives a more in depth understanding of what it means like what it foreshadows for example. Our presentation could be longer since it was only 4 slides. We should've added more pictures for the scene that each person was describing about.
My understanding of film noir is better after I did the presentation. The first time i watched the movie, i didn't pay as close of attention to the in depth aspects of lighting and how it contributes to the genre. Overall, I learned more about film noir and had a better understanding of Chinatown.
